Something that we've been praying about for over a year now, is for God to prepare and provide a family/families to come down and work with us. Last year, with everything that happened (Roberto's dad having a stroke, Roberto's mom having to change her lifestyle due to the health changes in their family, Jill sick during pregnancy, the Insuasti family now having 2 kids), God really made us aware of the NEED to have other people working with us. He made us realize that we can't do this by ourselves.
While it is hard to recognize the need for more help, it is exciting to see what God is going to do, and how he is going to provide! We are certain that God is preparing, and going to raise up these families to partner and work with Fundacion Rescate. There would be numerous benefits to having another family/couple working full-time with Fundacion Rescate (just to name a few):
1. Help carry out the vision God has give to the members of Fundacion Rescate
2. Help carry the physical/logistical work load
3. Help create more awareness, and help fundraise
4. Help fill in the gaps with their strengths and where we have weaknesses
5. Help with the responsibilities when we need to go stateside
Below, is a profile of the type of family/couple that we would be interested in having work with Fundacion Rescate. We ask that you pray with us for the family that God is preparing, we ask that you help us spread the word to those you know who may be interested, and/or pray about this being YOU and YOUR family!

Characteristics (not limited to):
- Christian Family (practicing)
- A family that is seeking God's will and purpose in their life
- Heart to work with children, specifically those in crisis situations
- Heart for family
- Spanish speaker/willingness to learn the language
- Ability to raise own funds
- Willingness to be flexible and work as team
What would my/our role be?
The role of the missionary couple/family would be to help at Casa Rescate - the foster home (help clean, help take care of the children, help the children with their homework, show Christ's love to the children, help with the maintenance and work that needs to be done). Given the strengths of the missionary family, working directly with the families (who have children at Casa Rescate) in the surrounding communities would also be a possibility.
The family would also help with work teams that come down and serve on short-term trips.
Where would I/we live?
We are looking for a family that is willing to serve with us for at least 1-2 years, if not more. They would live here in Sucua.
Would I only be working at the Foster Home "Casa Rescate"?
Our job description as missionaries changes from day to day. We would ask that you come willing to serve in whatever capacity that God has for the day.
What if I don't speak Spanish?
Our ideal family would be Spanish speaking, as that is one of the most difficult hurdles to overcome for many missionaries. If you don't speak Spanish, we would ask that you look to take classes, find a private tutor to go through some basic lessons (2-3 months worth of lessons), maybe come and live with another family to help learn the language. We know of several different options if the language part is a barrier for you...but NOT willing to learn Spanish would NOT be an option.
What about my/our own family?
We believe that your first ministry is to the family God has given you! We are a young family, and there are times that ministry has to be put on hold, because a child is sick, or we need to pour into/nurture our own children. It is a challenging balance, but an important one to have.
What are my/our next steps if we are interested in serving with Fundacion Rescate?
Contact us! Send us an email showing that you are interested, and we will set up a time to talk with you via Skype/FaceTime or email to get to know you. We would ask for some references from your church and personal life. We would conduct an interview with some simple questions as to get to know you/your family. Check out the rest of our Blog and website to get to know us, who we are, and Fundacion Rescate.
